Spitting Image
As I sit toying with the idea to humiliate myself, I realized I have not taken the time I usually do consecutively to make sure my skirt is covering my knees. This time for some reason my eyes catch something dark and disturbing, something that is definitely not supposed to be there. It isn't moving but it should be. WIthout a care in the world, yet an animalistic ardency, I make this spot disappear. A dead mosquito on my mother's vacation skirt simply won't do.
