The Spoken Word

God took a breath...

And uttered the syllables

That bound Spirit to flesh.

And God became man.

Enfleshed and embodied in a body

God became man, that with men He could dwell.

And the Word walked with men,

And gave of Himself,

That all men might be rescued from the death and destruction

Their rebellion incrued,

The Word became flesh,

And thus the Word bled.

Now the Word dwells in me,

And from the moment I was uttered,

birthed from a mutter,

God's Word speaks through me,

and I the captive, am made free.
