Spontaneous June Weather

i have always liked the rain

I've always shown appreciation to it

and praise.

i love that no matter where I'm sleeping

on a rainy night

i can always seem to hear it fall.

hear it pour.

the comforting sound as it hits

the solid ground.

as if its done all

it needs to do.

the way it smells

on the pavement,

when its been sunny

for too long.

I've always wondered why

i love the rain so much

but i think its because

it reminds me of myself.

the consistency of its pouring,

the mood changes

from downpour

to trickle

and the fact

that most people

hate it,

but the few that don't

embrace it wholly,

with everything

they have.
