Spreading my Wings
I am a memory, an unseen butterfly.
I wonder about the life ahead of me.
I hear the insistent questions about my future.
I see the hope in my parents eyes.
I want to make everyone proud.
I pretend I'm not stressed.
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.
I touch the tears as they fall from my face.
I worry I won't make it.
I cry when I sit down to think.
I am a memory, an unseen butterfly, fluttering by.
I understand every day is a new one.
I say I believe in myself.
I dream of the endless possibilities.
I try to make them a reality.
I hope I make an impression on the world.
I am a memory, an unseen butterfly, spreading my wings.
