Spring and Fall
I’ve made a thousand promises each and every day
That I am a changed man, in every single way
And I swear It will be different, I’ll do better
Its not the same anymore
I learned my lesson I swear to god,
If I hurt you
I could never forgive myself
Never live with myself
The troubles we’ve seen would seem so small
If you were harmed by me at all
And I don’t think I could go on
If because of me, you want to be gone.
The spring, the summer, the sun, the rain
Would never to me seem the same again
And the world may turn to spring
But I wouldn’t, couldn’t, feel a thing
Knowing that fall had come before
Because you wouldn’t come anymore.
