Spring Break

Made secretive plans to visit Hailey Ambivalence churns my stomach Hoping my mom doesn’t find out Lying that I will be at Will’s place One train ride and I’ll see my babe Moe’s Homewrecker Burrito churns my stomach Sitting here trying to distract myself with video games to stop the pain The smell wakes me on occasion and I worry if I will make it Thank god I am alone in this two-seat gas chamber Hailey churns my stomach Stepping onto the platform, the first thing I see is a girl with a Nintendo DS Rushing toward me with her snow drenched clothing and indelible smile I am blissful An old hall patroller stops me from having a great nap We take refuge on a friend’s floor, but I am still finally with her Egan Dining Hall churns my stomach Sleight of hand swipes me in this wonderful buffet Plates are stacked Competitively eating against Mallory I feel like Walter White except producing gaseous meth instead My loss makes me physically ill and mentally knowing that I will make everyone sad hurts too Goodbyes churn my stomach The “Kapooya” from the lady in the cab’s radio makes my mood lighter, but it’s not enough Unfortunately, there is someone to share the gas chamber this time The beautiful scenery through the window can’t rectify my sorrow or the smell
