Spring is Chasing Summer

Spring is chasing summer round the world tonight

Summer chases autumn ‘Neath the moon so bright

Autumn chases winter, winter chases spring,

But spring’s still chasing summer tonight.

Spring is full of rain

And halfway growing things

It wants the warmth that summer always brings

But summer runs away

Towards the others season days

Leaving spring with naught to do but sing

Summer’s after autumn

The evenings are so nice

The sweetly smelling breeze is full of spice

But autumn runs away

Towards other season days

And summer just cant seem to melt her ice.

Autumn chases winter

Throughout the long years

Trying to find the way to success

But winter runs away

Towards other season days

Leaving autumn with nothing but a mess

Winter chases spring

For the warmth it always brings

Melting all the harshness left behind

The gently softening grace

That always lights her face

Is why springs always on the winters mind.

Seasons always chase

They try to win the race

But in circles they keep going round

Hurry, hurry fast

They never seem to last

When love is blooming up all around

Spring is chasing summer round the world tonight

Summer chases autumn ‘Neath the moon so bright

Autumn chases winter, winter chases spring,

And spring is chasing summer tonight.
