Spring Day

Dear Lover who stole my heart,

We’ve met only once but that once was enough.

Though I may not have listened at first,

Slowly you brought me closer towards you.

I wish one day I’ll find you,

No longer in my dreams but in my arms.

Maybe I can’t express myself well,

But with you I’ll be myself.

We met on that day,

On a chilly spring day.

Which then transformed into a cold night,

With beautiful snow fluttering by.

We parted ways with neither a hug nor a kiss,

Oh how I yearn for that warmth, well missed.

Exchanging gifts and letters from a distance apart,

Wishing we could meet in person.

Long-distance is such a chore,

But I like you, don’t you forget.

I’ll see you soon,

When spring come by once more.

Sincerely,

The girl whose heart you melted and made yours.
