Spring Fair Day

Albert Road on a Spring fair day I first glimpsed the sight of her.

With radiant eyes was no surprise as my mind was all a stir.

I calmed myself with thoughts of her gazing into my heart.

I steadied and seized my dreams as I was only a tiny part.

Fore Street became a valiant leap along an enchanted way.

Endearing times would steadily decline, I wish I could have always stayed.

Her warm embrace against the whirling mist gently eased my woe.

Eternity can never be, all I hoped was the kiss was slow.

The years have past and I sadly fear that the regrets will last:

As I saunter, stumble and make sense of the net she caste;

I am exhaustingly on my way to a life of make believe.

With constant thoughts: why did she ever leave?
