Spring Poem for My Love

Some trees stay green all winter

and others shed their leaves

but come spring and summer,

they all have vibrant sleeves.

The thunderclouds have drifted

and the sky is cotton white

but there's blue around the edges

and beyond it there is light.

Some people say that life is dark

That we'll never see the day

but night turns into daytime,

It just can never stay.

There's beauty in the broken

There's sight within the blind

All you must do to see that

is to open up your mind.

I will always love you,

bring you joy, give you my heart,

And as long as you always love me back

we'll never be apart.
