Springtime

Spring came suddenly

with a crack of frozen water

Breaking the river

Roaring like a lion

Sliding like a snake

Flying like a bird

There is a haze of green

over the leaden earth

and with the worlds rebirth

Fleet like the deer

Swift like the hawk

Gentle like the dove
