A Sprouting Leaf

Broken Heart,  Broken spirits, Broken prayers

As you stand alone under the lights of sorrow

Hiding and dodging  all the lovers and nay sayers

The broken heart just wants to leave, hoping for no tomorrow.

The broken spirits are searching for no joy,

Until you find the courage to open a new door

Looking inside you stumble across a lonely boy

Is he lost, is he dead, what could he be here for.

Silent nights,  Dark days,  and even more to swallow.

Sounds show this young fellow could your only way

The broken heart pounds, yet the fears wish to follow

Step by step you think of nice, loving to say

"Take my hand and I promise you won't regret it

Because the love I have for you you will never forget it",

Is it me, it's it you, or is this meant for us two

It's like we've been waiting forever and now know what to do.

"When I heard your voice,  I felt the pain and sorrow

But now I've met you, no worries of tomorrow"

Broken prayers, no longer exist with me

Your love runs through my soul, like the roots of a tree.
