The Squiggly Line Theology

My pastor loves to tell stories, And it's not all too uncommon, To glean from them such great analogies, And the Squiggly Line Theory is one. 'Twas while my pastor was bowling, That the squiggly line story began. He'd draw a squiggly line after playing A bad set, then start all over again. Then came this great analogy On how we fail from time to time, 'Tis not very complicated, you see, We just draw the squiggly line. It's hard to admit when you're wrong, But better a loving friend than a hurt foe, And better a forgiven heart than a bitter song. So draw a squiggly line, storing higher treasures while here below. It's really a great analogy, and yet so simple To derive from one such story. 'Twas preparing a sermon when across it he did stumble, So thus became the Squiggly Line Theory.
