St. Augustine, fl // 6:17 a.m

i don't think i'll ever forget
how your hands felt on my neck
in the backseat of our best friend's car.
                                                                 you
traced lines of poetry down my spine
with hands covered in glitter and lust.
my love, you
                                                                 are
a masterpiece,
an oil portrait of perfection.
you helped paint
                                                                 my
soul the colors of the sunrise
that's appearing right before us.
and darling, we are almost
                                                                 home.
