The Stage

Location

Acting,

Like I'm up on a stage.

Memorized the lines

On every page.

And the girl,

The one that I play,

She's the one That'd you'd like,

And see every day.

But underneath the surface,

Behind the scenes,

She's just a character,

Things aren't as they seem.

She's not real.

She's not me.

But I promise you that's-

Something you wont ever see.

I'm just acting,

Playing a part.

'Cause you can't handle backstage,

It's just too dark.

You need the light,

Like I need the stage.

I guess these are just,

The parts that we play.
