The Stage Musician

Alright, here it is…the curtain call. On our side; focused, determined men holding their axes gingerly, ticking off like a large time bomb. On their side; total mayhem. With tens of thousands of extremely zealous fans yelling and moshing, we know its time. The groan of the stadium beckons us. I take my rightful throne at the helm of chrome and bronze, anxious as hell to strike up the band. I count to eight and it begins…the curtain drops as flaming hot pyrotechnics explode. With that, the enormous crowd burst into flames as well. I sweat profusely, my heart pounding as fast as the bass drum…this is only day one of twenty four.
