Stages of a Nightmare

Sun, 06/03/2018 - 21:36 -- Dakmar

In the beginning, it was just a dream.

At first, you're laughing and playing everything is how it should be.

Suddenly and unexpectedly the light begins to fade.

You begin to lose all sense of what is around you.

Then icy chills begin to grip your body, like the winter's icy grip upon the earth.

Terrified of what will happen next you search for an exit.

How can you find it when your world is falling apart like the shattering of glass.

Then as the ground shatters under your feet you fall into yourself seeing flashes of your past.

You wake a startled animal.

Don't let the darkness of your past reside within let go.

Only through letting go dreams can become reality.
