The Stagnant Cold

Sends shivers down your spine

Gives you the chills

Freezes you to the bone

Raises your hairs

Yet it’s oh so kind

It comforts us

Even though the cold

Is associated with loneliness

When I’m alone

It keeps me company

When I’m numb

It shows me reality

The cold warms us

It gives us love

It makes us stronger

It gives us courage

The cold is my company

The cold is my friend

The cold is my savior
