Stainless

Look at her uneven skin as tears wash over her face
She can't tell you what she's done
Won't tell you that this was not her plan
She can't explain how it felt to run that stainless steel over her smooth skin
Nobody could see the signs of fear, anger, and hurt all welled up inside her
She had a take a plan of action
Oh... It wasn't the most ideal.
She knows this very well
All she ever wanted was to be held close
Someone to dry her tear-stained face and whisper "It's okay."
Nobody ever did that...
No one.
One mark leads to another as months drag on.
Marks that will never fade.
All of this made her skin so uneven...
Her marks were made by something so stainless.
