Stains

Apple juice stained grubby white jumper

Yellow, blue, purple paint stained construction paper

Mud stained sneakers

I am stained

Reality stained numb mind

Dry crusted blood stained shaking wrists

Heart stained moments of despair

Starch anxiety stained stomach

Makeup stained smile

I am stained.

Indigo stained soul

Sin stained breath

 Inadequately stained life

I am stained.

No.

Forget it all

My past offenses

The linear way it used to  be

I am worth more than any wasted amount of money

More than the artificial ways it used to be

No stain defines me

Or any other truth

But I

I define I

I am I
