Up the Staircase

Walking slowly up the staircase not wanting to look up

Laying in my mother's arms not wanting to grow up

Getting closer to the top as I am starting to look up

Graduating high school starting to want to grow up

Finally reaching the stop of the stairs looking up up and away

Knowing that I have reached the point in my life that I have already grown up
