Staircase

One way

I walk in a fast pace

Can there be another place

A place I can escape

Day to day

I see your face

Can you give me some space

Before I breakdown like previous days

Can you look away

As I pass your way

Make me feel betrayed

I think it'll be easier to stay away

It's only Monday

Just a few more days

But the cycle can not be interchanged

Some time is all I crave

Let me be brave

As I go another day

Thinking the same way

As the clouds turn grey

Maybe that's a trace

Of how it's all too late

To forgive and obliterate

The things he once proclaimed
