Stairs

Stairs

   They are simple creations

                                  Yet brilliant

              They allow us to go many places

                                                  See many things

                                                          Pass many people

                                                        They are part of the journey

                              But to see our destination we must get off the stairs

                                                          They are forever going in two directions

                                                                                                                        Up

                                                                                                                            And

                                                                                                                    Down

                                                                                       Some people get stuck

                                                                             On the steps

                                                     Going up and down the stairs

                                          With no real purpose

                            No specific floor in mind

                  Just mindlessly climbing

             Or

           Decending

        The stairs of Life

                Forever moving

              Never going anywhere

                                               Stuck on the steps
