Stalemate

I'm in a stalemate.

Movin at a snails pace.

Distracted and confused by the world...

Misconstrued and half amused at the lack of truth.

Reduced to nothing more than false syllables rolled off the tongue.

Applicable to those caught between forbidden fruit and the youth.

Sight becomes delusions protruding from the lude.

Movements surround you as you surpass what had once been crude.

But maybe if you move you'd never want to stop lettin loose.

So you imitate,

Gravitate to all that was once never your fate.

And begin to live off the syringe that nourishes your mind's skin.

Given the grace thas been displaced by what I thought was my fate.

I am a linguist that is able to distinguish what I need to admit and the evil I must dismiss.

I've come a long way and to say that I've pervaded success is true because I'm here to stay.

Given the strength to maintain all that is great for I have appreciated no sooner than late

And I've become aware of the sins I wish to annihilate.

Accept me as I am bc I am no more than human, occasionally lost in the confusion bc I will never be mediocre,

I will always be great.
