Stand Up

As we sit in our communities and look around we see ethnicities of every kind Does any one ever wonder how our country is what it is today? In the 1950s there was segregation Racist people were applauded and whites had the authority But dont people ever realize how hard it was for them to find Themselves amongst all of the blur they were sure not to stray So these people took a great action Because in their city there was no community Just discrimination, segregation and violence; none of which should be the actions of humankind Imagine being hated the second you walked out of your house, for no good reason his was how they lived everyday Wherever they went they were treated with no accommodation They were shown no pity They stood up for what they believed in They stood up for the sins that were being committed against them They stood up for their children and families So what do we stand up for now? We stand up for those who had the courage to take a stand
