Stand

Stand.

In the midst of all things dark,

in the moments filled with defeat,

Stand.

When your heart pumps blood

filled with question and doubt,

Stand.

When your body gives out,

and your mind has been slashed,

Stand.

Tears trickling down your face,

and lips quivering with sadness,

Stand.

When the clouds mask the sun,

and the wind carries away your hope,

Stand.

Everyone tells you that you can't,

but you know you will,

Stand.

When your purpose for life has disappeared,

and your knees are bloodied,

STAND.
