Stand

We march around with picket signs to protest

We yell “Equality, no justice, no peace!”

All for the Black man

For the Black man we would lay down our lives.

Put our differences aside and walk together

We would march together.

But who hears the silenced screams of the Black woman

I waited for the riots,

Waited for the protest but no one showed.

I guess they were too busy making signs for those boy

I guess they were too busy trying to save those boys.

Fighting to have justice for those who could not speak anymore

But answer this

If a Black woman dies when no one is around,

And her screams are silenced as she falls to the ground

Who will stand for her?
