Stand, Seek, Dream

What if reality is a fallacy,

Perpetuated by affliction?

Disillusionment just a deterrent

For positive transition?

When all is lost, picking up

broken pieces cuts our hands,

but the calluses that form

help us truly understand:

That we must band together,

And

Stand

Stolid -

To our dreams;

‘cause a dream deferred induces

a disposition so obscene;

That accomplishment is useless,

and our abilities are bleak,

when with resilience we could

always achieve that which we seek.
