Stand Tall

Lost in the dark stumbling, knife in my back, its so sharp

Broken fragments of everything I knew sprawled around me, the memories tugging at my dying heart

Who knew that betrayal could cut so deep

That you could kill me further in my sleep

I walk a lonely road, you dragged me here and abandoned me

Not a single glance back as you walked away

Deep in my mind I wanted to beg you to stay

Tell you how I feel, show you that you hurt me the most of all

But I couldn't let myself fall apart, so I stood tall

And didn't shed a tear

I just watched you turn your back

And let you go.
