Stand Tall

Don't  fall

Stand tall

Don't let that step

Be the last

Because there's more to life

Then that

No promises to be made

Of a paradise in the works

(Not here,

Not on Earth)

But life...

It gets better

Today's wall is tomorrow's path

Don't be afraid

Hold the head high

And walk away

People will be people

They'll be cruel

Forgetful

Spiteful

Evil

But remember

People are diamonds

Common enough, but impossible to break

Perfect, flawless

Except when they're using their hardness

To destroy another

So when the fall is near

Stare into the abyss

Then smirk

And turn away

Today is not the day

To fall

Rather today is

The day

To stand tall
