Stand in your Worth
Stand in Your Worth
Do they really know me like how they claim to?
Like they know the newest Tesla or how it feels when their flaky bodies hit the pool?
If this is really the land of the free
Then why can the land I own be trespassed on by cops wanting to seek, shoot, and destroy me?
I felt in my heart, body, and spirit when they told me that I have a mental illness, it was a trick of the enemy
See I was woke before it was even new generation ibonics on the streets
My mind is a weapon sharp like a knife
It's the answer to end world strife
An encyclopedia of love language
That keeps the attention of an audience like how a man stares at a woman's cleavage
I've been oppressed for too long
The day my wife opened her heart was the day I found a new home
My wife is my peace and my paradise
I really believe she's an angel in disguise
My mind is like a caged bird that wants to sing and be released from prison
Now that I've been set free, I'm on a mission
To encourage all my brothers and sisters to stand in your worth
Know what you deserve
Ladies, if he has to cheat on you or use his big gorilla fists to prove he loves you, then that's not love...please that's toxic waste
And fellas your queens should come from above not beneath where they're on their hands and knees let the woman you want to carry your surname be worth the chase
That's right I'm an educated black man and I stand in my worth
Everything I fight for is because I know what I deserve
