The Standard

Beauty; too tall, too short, too thin, too fat.

Beauty is not even made up of that.

A theology that says you must abide by the standards and the rules;

A theology that doesn’t think we are all jewels.

I’ll tell you a secret that is not commonly known.

You may see a queen all high and mighty on her throne.

You’re filled up with envy, jealous of her looks.

Take heart in knowing her beauty is of crooks,

 But be not the queen who is bitter and greedy, making her looks not as appealing.

An untrained eye would not be able to see it with ease,

But you may catch a glimpse just once in a while

Of her fake beauty that is actually quite vile.

So, you be your own queen who’s humble on her throne,

Making other girls recognize the beauty of their own.
