The Standard of Education

I can't change the school system...

But if I could I would.

Get rid of these standards and lists of things we memorize

that only slows down our progress.

I can't stand standardized testing.

What does it even prove?

That we can't learn...

but simply regurgetate.

Children lost in their own classrooms,

Teachers having to exclude information to get by,

fill in the bubble forms used to compare one another

and self-esteem whithering away.

Education isn't a competition.

Students don't deserve to have a stiffled education

and teachers didn't go to school to teach standards.

Students aren't numbers and teachers aren't scorekeepers.
