Standardized Testing

My cerebellum, lacking its consumption, cannot consume

more than the plate that is offered.

More true, each letter be left, then right, then left again.

By narrow-minded expenditure I lost

my appetite for creativity in knowledge.

I have devoured what is smart;

not what considers wisdom.

This poem is written to be an image of a scantron, which represents standardized testing across public school boards in the US. This is seen when I stated, "left, then right, then left again". That line is the action of filling in letter choices A,B,C, or D on a scantron.
