Standards

What are these beauty standards that we live by? Why are they so confusing but we all have to fit them? Can't be too skinny but can't be at all fat. If you are fat then you can't say you want to be skinny Because then you will get judged for wanting the impossible. Skinny people can't brag about being skinny, they have to say they are healthy. But in reality 'healthy' involves a little more thickness then what these girls are. Girls have to have big bums and chests but we cant show them off. If theres nothing there then we aren't mature but if there is alot there then we are instantly looked at as a slut. If we do cover it up then we are shy, hiding ourselves but then as soon as we show the tiniest bit then we are just looking for male attention. Men can flex in the gym mirrors for hours straight but as soon as a women glances towards the mirrors, that becomes the only reason she was at the gym. Girls also can't wear too much makeup, needs to look natrual. But when we go fully natrual we are told we look tired. If we go full face of makeup then we are lying about our looks but then when theres nothing we look like we didn't even try. If we only put a tiny bit on, then we are covering the bad things when all we are trying to do is feel comfortable in ourselves. Our hair needs to look perfect every day, but it cant be dead afterwards. We need the perfect curls or dead straight hair, but the heat can't ruin it for when its not. Hair needs to be the perfect colour, but if you dye it blonde then your just trying to hard to fit in. You can't just wear a ponytail every day but majority of hairstyles involve a ponytail at some point. Every hair needs to be in the perfect position but we can't use product to do that, its just gotta happen. Im not saying women have it worse, I do get that men have their own problems. Im just saying that this is what society comes to when looks are involved.
