Standing

Look at these people Look at their faces Before us they are standing. Broken Bitter And denied It's time to stand with them Time to right the wrongs Tired of injustice Tired of waiting so long Aren't these people The same us us Their skin is dark Our skin is light But doesn't the same heart beat In all of us The same hopes The same dreams Pain and Loss and Love and Grace and Hope and Life Righteous and justified Before us they are standing So look at these people Look at their faces.
