Standing on the Side

Standing on the sides of the free lights, Everyone was promised to be treated just Vanquished of all our civil rights. It was a time of promised futures that were bright, Yet the majority saw this as not a must Standing on the sides of the free lights. Countless did preach and countless did writes, Yet, the bigotry did not stop, it would not thrust Vanquished of all our civil rights. We protested and fought until there were no lights, Children asked why they were treated less than dust Standing on the sides of the free lights. The King did his absolute best on his epic plights, And he did gain the minority population trust Vanquished of all our civil rights. It was not until Lincoln viewed our fights, It was then that America did realize the unjust Standing on the sides of the free lights Vanquished of all our civil rights.
