Standing Sore
Spoken words, written in my mind
and sputtered out through
consonants and vowels.
Stumbling through a passion and a rage
Slipping backwards into a cold halt.
When everything was gone
Only you were left remaining hungry
Break down the walls,
Recreate them standing tall
Why must I love you?
Head first, swallowing my words,
Your anger's engulfed me, the taste of war.
Blood rushes from my bitten tongue
The pressure's mounting as you build up.
When everything was gone
Only you were left remaining hungry
Break down the walls,
Recreate them standing tall
Why must I love you?
Make your choice, the battle has begun
Stay content with bits of love and blindness
Take novacaine to numb away the pain
Why must I love you?
Head first, swallowing my words,
Your anger's engulfed me, the taste of war.
Blood rushes from my bitten tongue
The pressure's mounting as you build up.
Spoken words, written in my mind
But sputtered out through
consonants and vowels.
Bromine to intoxicate the scene
Why must I love you?
Prepare for war, leave our hearts standing sore, my darling.
