I think that if you let me, I'd treat you like a star

Keeping my distance as you dance from afar

Blinking with life I cannot imagine, but appreciate none the less

My eyes never leaving your light, my body surrounded by darkness

To be quite honest, thats where all my night would be spent

as long as you continued to shine i'd be perfectly content

For it's scary to be near you, close enough to feel the beat

that provides the life of the only one who has captivated me

It's terrifying to touch the flame that you are

For what if you burnt out or what if I caught fire

Even then I think I'd love suffocating in your being

The only thing to tame my heart and kill me just by breathing
