A Star in a Galaxy

Mon, 06/10/2019 - 21:32 -- mfromme

I am a star in a galaxy,

But who cares about me?

The constellations are brighter.

The planets are bigger.

The blind cannot see me,

And the deaf do not hear me.

But the ones who can see,

And the ones that do hear,

They do not care about me.

I'm a little star in a galaxy

That people just scan over;

Never looking twice,

Never wishing upon,

Because who cares about me?

I still come out every night,

Hopeful.

Yes, still hopeful.

But I stand against billions

So, no one cares about me.

I will continue to shine.

Because what they do not know

Is that a little star like me,

Out looked by a huge Galaxy,

Has a universe inside of her.

But no one cares about me.
