Star Gazer

Some times i wish you’d come back to the place it all  began
Back home to the place where our hearts were smothered with love
Our lifes filled with joy and adventure
Back before  the days the hurt came  trinkling in
Take away the abandonment
Drown out the voices telling us who to be
Take us back to our arrogance
Back to where we used to dream
Lay us back out in the yard
Aim our eyes  back to the stars,
Do you remember the possiblities we would dream up
Tell me do you still remember who  you wanted to be?
Who we used to be before life tore us away?
Can you recall the times my eyes  would glow up with excitement
The ambition and ethic i drew  from who  we thought we could be ?
Who we can still be?
Tell me its not just me trapped in a memory.
