The Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say, can you see, that we are a victim of these means?

What so proudly we hail, it’s almost like we can’t see

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, can’t cover up our deep scars

O'er the ramparts we watch'd, I’m begging you, please stop

And the rockets' red glare or  gun bullets in the air?

Gave proof thro' the night that it’s a signal of despair

O say, does this star-spangled banner yet wave

For this the land of the “free?”

Or the home of monstrosities?
