A Star Told Me

A star told me

I might want to consider

Asking the question

Who am I

Why do I breathe

Why am I valuable

What do I have to offer

Family, community, the world?

Love is building my confidence

Love is building my hope.

Tolu and my daughter, told me

We are born of the sun

I believe them as I

Face the moon shining.
