Stardom
Stardom
I live in a fish bowl, millions know almost more about me than I know about myself
I feel as if happiness and privacy are the only things I can't buy with my wealth
I'm in a stadium of 50,000 and in unison all of them are chanting MVP
\ On the outside I acknowledge the crowd with gratitude but on the inside im hurting
I cant even go to the store without hundreds of people trying to get autographs
If I sign a few the rest of the crowd is irate
If I don't sign them all the people that I thought were fans
now react to the sound of my name with hate, i'm irate
all of this unnecessary madness because i'm great at a game
Last year I missed a game winning shot and the entire town claimed I was insane
As I walked down the street people yelled insults that were profane
Yet the moment play well their happiness they can't contain
I hate the assumptions that are linked to my name
fans only see the cars, money and wealth and chains
but the don't see the anger, sweat , time I put into the game
True friendships are rare because others are only drawn to me because of my name
I hear so many people they claim they want all the fame
Told one of my friends I would trade places with the person and thought I was playing
I answered trust me if you were in my shoes you would feel the same
