Starlight

Glancing up at the Sparkling night Sky,

My eyes observed lovely, luminous Stars

Peeking from the cover of clouds on High.

In the sky that was blackened like Tar,

Their shining beauty could not be Concealed,

And I Wished to follow Their Example.

I Wished Strength in Hardship would be Revealed,

And that the Light in Life would be Ample,

So that I, like Stars, would shine from Darkness

And bring Life and Light into a grim World.

Often, conflict Fills minds with Bitterness

And our Thoughts and Emotions become Swirled,

But We All must remember to shine Bright

During these dark Times like stunning Starlight.
