Starry Night

writing, words, poetry
songs from in my heart
pain and grief, agony
is where i got my start.

words on the paper
my Starry Night sky
released me, the captive
free- no more lies.

no more fake smiles,
no more glossy eyes
the words, they rescued.
saved me from my binds.

my own little therapy
a private, mournful world
to lock away and free my soul
from my innermost quarrels.

and finally, the break of day
fewer words for me to say
one less rhyme, one less word,
peace of mind, if you've heard?

...Not yet.

so much left for me to say,
so much pain yet hidden away
i'll share it all, if you'll read
my music, life, my poetry.
