Stars

Gaseous balls of flame

Heat and danger

That's what you are

Danger

Not your middle name but you're calling

The boy next isn't your attitude

It's your way of life

Your behavior varies on the things you damage

From vandalizing walls and lockers

To breaking alas and breaking hearts

The boy next door is you

Or was it?

You fall deathly ill and I'm the only thing beside you

No flowers in vases or stuffed love and cheesy messages in animals

Me, barely breathing, me

I'm your only visitor

The hands of time are tick tick ticking away as your days shorten

You become a more salty you, mind frizzle and frazzled

Forgetting who I am and can't remember where you are

As our days are numbered, becoming forgetful and hard to breatheI stand by your side, frail hands in my plump, heavy ones

Every second in the last days of your life passes by

The last breaths you take are riding shot gun in Death's hearse

Our oblivion is becoming closer and sooner

As the race of life takes its final life

The stars are becoming us

Gaseous balls of heat and dust

Soaring into the dark of night with Angels

The beating of your heart stills...Your raspy breathing silenced.....The clock stopped ticking and tocking.....

I'm not that far away from being where you are

I just hope your waiting for me

Just like I waited for you too
