Stars

There once was a GIRL with stars in her eyes,

Who desperately wanted to change the world.

She was all parts optimistic and enthusiastic,

Her starlit eyes glowed when she spoke of the future,

Her inner joy radiated.

She was filled with both passion and compassion,

For people she had not yet met.

Yes, she was scared,

Scared of being alone,

Of goodbyes,

Of every single unknown still to come.

For although she has big plans and a bigger heart,

She is small.

Yet, she does not let fear win,

Not anymore.

The stars in her eyes shine bright,

Even through the tears.

For who has changed the world,

And felt no fear?

So she continues one step at a time,

Confident in this:

That it will be her who changes the world,

The WOMAN with stars in her eyes.
