Stars
Buckets full of liquid stars
Glisten brightly in the dark
Shadows from a vacant space
Slide into the stars lost place
Shadows haunt the evening tide
Wraiths that leap before my eyes
Guard the ocean late at night
Hungrily they lust for fright
Waves that reach to touch the moon
Send their spray in downy plumes
Sparkle as they crash back down
Seeking rocks and sand to drown
Aching hurt inside my chest
Longs for somewhere safe to rest
Reaching out for love to fill
The empty void inside me thrill
Empty is the lonely beach
Where the light of stars can't reach
Empty feels my stony heart
Searching, craving in the dark
