stars

stars.

they live and they die,

mirroring our own limited state.

stars.

they twinkle in the black beyond,

adding whimsy to an abyss of darkness.

stars.

inspiring songs and poems and stories,

lending fodder to every imagination.

stars.

ever present,

even when they cannot be seen.

stars.

hope for the wistful,

emblems for the dreamers.

stars.

more than spots in the sky,

but beauty in the eye.
